The polygonal part has in the region of each of its sides a coupling device which is intended to connect the part itself to an identical or different polygonal part which is provided with a complementary coupling device in such a way that a polyhedral, three-dimensional structure having a plurality of such polygonal parts is formed. Along each side of a polygonal part, the coupling device has at least one groove-type recess and at least one spring-type projection, which recess and projection are complementary to at least one coupling device of further polygonal parts. On at least one of the sides parallel to the insertion direction of the projection of a complementary coupling device, each recess has an elastically resilient undercut (23) and the projection (21) has an undercut which is complementary to the undercut of the recess. The undercuts are in alignment with one another on a common axis in such a way that a mutual swivelling between two coupled polygonal parts is allowed. At least one projection preferably has a material relieve incision in the vicinity of the recess in such a way that the elastic resilience of the spring-type or groove-type undercut provided there is increased.
