Method for screening bacteria and application thereof for field control of the weed downy brome

A method for screening bacteria to select strains which inhibit the weed downy brome in small grain crops under field conditions and method for field application of the bacteria in inhibit downy brome in small grain crops in a commercial setting are described. Three nonfluorescent Pseudomonas strains which passed the screen test are disclosed.
