In a closed system for the collection and retransfusion of autologous blood with a collecting vessel (4) for receiving the blood and an anticoagulant fluid, and a retransfusion line (14, 14') which contains a micro-filter and through which at least part of the blood collected in the collecting vessel (4) is retransfused, the inlet for the anticoagulant fluid is advantageously provided between the collecting vessel (4), in which a partial pressure can be maintained, and a drain (2) or the open end of a discharge tube. The collecting vessel (4) is connected via a tube line (10, 10'), to which a hose pump (11) can be attached, to a collecting and separating container (13, 13') to whose outlet the retransfusion line (14, 14') is connected for the erythrocyte concentrate precipitating therein.
