In this inclined-roll straightening machine for straightening and polishing tubes and bars, a housing top part (22) is pivotably mounted in such a way that, after being pivoted through 180@, it exposes the bottom roll (20) in the housing (11) for the purpose of maintenance. The top roll (21) is then accessible for the same purpose. In the same way, the side walls of the housing are designed as doors (15). As a result, the guide bars for the guidance of the stock to be straightened are pivoted out for the purpose of maintenance because they are attached to the doors.
