Connector for work-tops of adjoining work and office desks - has integral push-in profiled section protruding each side from spacer to fit into bores of crossbars attached underneath each work-top
Connector for work-tops of adjoining work and office desks - has integral push-in profiled section protruding each side from spacer to fit into bores of crossbars attached underneath each work-top
The push-in sections (22.1, 22.2) have threaded bores (23, 24) which facing the bores (16) in the crossbars (11) change into end sections (25,26) of enlarged dia. to take a screw head of a fixing screw (27) which is screwed into the threaded bore (23,24). The heads of the fixing screws facing the bores of the crossbars run into fitment sections of reduced dia. which correspond in dia. to that of the bores in the crossbars. The profiled section (22) forming the push-in sections is rectangular with two opposite sides standing on end and welded to the inner walls of the crossbar so that the threaded bores run vertical to these sides of the section. USE/ADVANTAGE - The worktops to be joined need not have any recesses. The spacer can be made from the same profiled strip as used for the crossbars.
