Kitchen work-top with fluid barrier underneath - has resilient sealing lip section and integral stiffer fixing part

The worktop for kitchen units etc has a fluid barrier underneath the worktop overhang in the form of a drip edge (4) designed as an elastic sealing lip profiled part (5) which can be pressed against the plate over hang (3). The sealing lip forms with a stiffer fixing part (8) a one-piece unit which can be mounted between the worktop (1) and/or the cupboards underneath. The fluid barrier and fixing part (6) can be a separate extruded profiled part of plastics which is to be connected to the underneath cupboards and/or work top (1). USE - Particularly for round-edge kitchen worktops wherein the fluid barrier can be fitted afterwards.
