Rectangular large-section bales of stem-crops are compressed to the max. degree. The cross-section of the baling passage is divided into sections, on which pressure is exerted in turn, and these sections can consist of central and peripheral portions of the same surface area. Pressure can be supplied by separate drive mechanisms. The pressure can be transmitted via the crop to a supporting piston. On the latter there can be a central bar exerting pressure and sliding in the lengthwise direction of the bale. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compression equipment for large rectangular stem-crop bales generates permanent pressure inside bales.
