The liq. coolant is circulated from spaces (4,5) within the cylinder (1) and head (2) through a vapour separator (7) with an overflow (8) into the condensate collector (13). The vapour (10) is condensed (11) for pumping (17) back into the cylinder. Air is vented from the collector through a tube (18) with a finned portion (19) in the cooling air stream (20), to e.g. a semipermeable molecular sieve (22) which releases dry air to atmos. but excludes dirt and damp from the circuit. ADVANTAGE - Loss of coolant is prevented by simple and efficient system of air intake and discharge free from moisture.
