A sequence of instantaneous power measurement values of the system and/or equipment groups and/or individual equipment is measured (4a-4d) and stored in a prognosis computer (5) which extrapolates a power consumption value at the end of the measurement period. USE/ADVANTAGE - Eg for heating and cooling equipment, and machinery.s an be operated efficiently with increased reliability so that overall power limit is not exceeded.
