Permanently antistatic thermoplastic resin compsn (IA) comprises 5-40 (wt)% polyether-ester-amide polymer (IIA), 20-90% graft polymer (III) based on aromatic vinyl monomers. 0-70% aromatic vinyl copolymer (IV) and 2-25% modified styrene resin (V). A thermoplastic resin compsn (IB) contg 5-25% amide elastomer (IIB), 60-93% styrene resin (VI) and 2-25% modified vinyl polymer (VII) is also claimed. (II) is of the formula R1-O-(-CO-PA-CO-O-PE-O-)n-R2 (IIC) (where R1-2= H, Me or Et; PA= polyamide; PE= polyalkylene oxide; n= 1, 2 3, 4 etc), or a polymer derived from (a) a lactam or aminocarboxylic acid with at least 6C or a salt or a dicarboxylic acid or a diamine with at least 6C, pref a salt of an aminocarboxylic acid eg omega-amino-caproic, -oenanthic, -caprylic, -pelargonic or -capric acid, 11-aminoundecanoic acid or 12-aminododecanoic acid, lactams, eg caprooenantho-, capryl- or lauro-lactam; salts of diaminodicarboxylic acids eg hexamethylenediamine-adipic acid or -isophthalic acid; a polyalkylene oxide glycol; and/or 4-20C dicarboxylic acid. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are useful for electrical and electronic components eg insulation. (I) has high impact strength and good appearance.
