The vehicle in hover mode is controlled so that its wheels contact the under surface with a constant optimum light pressure. The motive power, provided by an IC engine or an electric motor (11), is transmitted across its wheels to the roadway or the railway track. A spring suspension (7) is provided for the wheels. The hover vehicle is equipped with lateral and elevation control surfaces (3,4). These, by electronic counter control, compensate for the deviations from the optimum pressure on the wheels or using an alternative for a rail connected application. Auxiliary wheels are provided which engage under the rail bulge and hold the vehicle on the rails. ADVANTAGE - Optimum pressure of wheels on bearing surface is maintained to reduce fuel consumption. Hover power is aeronautically obtained.
