The signal processing circuit (MPU 10) controls the line of sight sensor unit (15) for determining the sight line of person photographing, parallel with at least one further photographic process. The further photographic process can be light intensity metering. The sight line sensor unit (15) has a sensor memory, for storing signals corresp. to the position of the sight line of the person photographing. A microprocessor (10) computes the position of the sight line corresp. to the stored signals. The microprocessor carries out at least one further photographic computation, during which the signals corresp. to the sight line are stored. ADVANTAGE - Camera gives fast focusing, and gives prompt photographing of selected subject.
