The valve connects one of the intake pipes, particularly where these are of different lengths, to an outlet pipe. It has a cylindrical plug formed by a pipe bend (3) rotated to bring it into line with the selected intake pipe and permanently connected to the outlet pipe. The axis (3') of the bend at its outlet end (5') coincides with the axis of rotation (9). There can be three or more intake pipes and the cylindrical wall (4) of the bend can contain a port in the side furthest from the intake pipe. Where the engine is of the V-type with a manifold for each bank, one or more of the intake pipes can be connected to the manifold of the other bank. ADVANTAGE - Minimum loss, and sufficient flow in all bend positions.
