Preliminary studies with the aid of a l/96th scale model of the complete intake structure were made in the Laboratory of the British Hydromechanics Research Association to check the capacity of the intake at extreme low water condition and to investigate the possibilities of vortex-formation under various tidal conditions. These investigations were described in Part One of the Report (RR 588).
