Connector for branch bus=bar to main bus=bar inside conduit - uses flat box with windows and internal sliding flaps on springs, with locking tabs on springs

The proposal describes a way of connecting branch busbars to main busbars in a conduit using a plug-in module, the busbars all being parallel. The module has a flat box-like casing (6, 1) with windows for the insertion of the ends of the supplementary bars. There is a pair of sliding flaps (3) on the inside of the windows, which in the absence of a bar are held together by springs (4). There are locking tabs (7) held against the flaps by other springs. Also described is an isolator or connector between busbars, comprising a bridging piece with contact plates moved together by a key-operated cam. ADVANTAGE- Rapid and simple connection of parallel busbars.
