The steering system contains a steering wheel (1), front wheels (2), rear wheels (3), a front wheel steering unit (10) as a reaction to the operation of the steering wheel, and a rear wheel steering unit (20) for steering the rear wheels (3) as a reaction on the front wheels (2). The front wheel steering unit (10) has a relay rod (11) which extends in the cross direction of the vehicle. The rod is connected to each front wheel (2) via a drawbar (12) and a link arm (13), and contains a toothed rod mechanism (14). This mechanism moves the relay rod (11) from left ro right. In other words, the front wheels are steered at an angle which is proportional to the input extent of the steering wheel (1). USE/ADVANTAGE - To ensure stability of motor vehicle when dynamic characteristic line of vehicle fulfils transition from linear zone to one nonlinear.
