The adapter has two opposing adapter elements and a sleeve holder receiving an alignment sleeve which is sandwiched between the adapter elements. The latter have cooperating snap-fitting elements for joining them together. Pref. the adapter elements are identical, each having a thin elastic tongue extending in the assembly direction from two opposite sides lying on one side of the centre line, with a corresponding recess on each side on the other side of the centre line. ADVANTAGE - Adapter is assembled without fixing screws, or tools.
