The mounting table (10) fastened to the piston (3) carries an external air driven positioning cylinder (11). In a projecting ledge (15) of the cylinder body (1) is a passage (16) supplied with compressed air from one end. Along the top of the passage is a slot (17) which is closed off by a sealing strip (18) except where the strip is pushed down by a yoke (21) on the mounting table, allowing air to flow to an outlet (26) on the table. From the outlet a connection can be simply made to the external equipment mounted on the table. USE/ADVANTAGE - Avoids need for flexible, travelling air lines and saves space and maintenance costs.
