There is an equal number of burners (2',2") arranged in the flow direction of the gases. These burners are displaced in relation to one another by a specific distance ( delta s), the noise speed in the combustion chamber being greater than the hot gas speed. The specific distance by which the burners are displaced is represented by the following formula: - delta s = u(2n + 1)/2f where delta s = the displacement of adjacent burners or groups of burners in the flow direction in m, u = the hot gas speed in m/s, f = the inherent frequency of the combustion chamber in 1/s, n = 0,1,2,3.... The adjacent burner groups consist of two burners. ADVANTAGE - Reduces thermal and acoustic disturbances and prevents thermo-acoustic vibrations in the combustion chamber.
