Float separator for suspended materials in liquids - has liq. flowing counter-current to scraper bars directing suspended materials to evacuation channels

A float separator is claimed in which the liq. to be treated, usually water, is introduced via a submerged overflow (25) so that the liq. flows anticlockwise inside a cylindrical container. Scraper bars at the surface of the liq. (4) and at the base of the container (5) rotate clockwise, directing suspended materials to two evacuation channels (17,21). Purified liq. is siphoned off from below the surface of the water (7). ADVANTAGE - A counter-current system increases separation efficiency and allows effective drainage of removed solids.
