Method for determining the transmittance of a filtering circuit (3) provided for transforming the impulse response h (z) of a filter (2) in response to a minimum phase. & br / the method comprises a calculation of the theoretical response in the frequency of the filtering circuit (3) and of the impulse response in frequency with a minimum phase, by imposing a condition of a causal relationship to the cepstrum of the response to a minimum phase, a determination of the theoretical transmission by an inverse fast fourier transform of the theoretical response in frequency, an estimate of the transmission of the filtering circuit (3) by truncation of the theoretical transmittance of which are stored as a predetermined number of coefficients, and determination of the overall response to a minimum phase from a limited development of the cepstrum.
