摘要
Prodn. of an enzymatic prepn. for animal feeds comprises fermenting a cereal grain medium inoculated with enzymes, esp. proteases and/or amylases. The medium pref. also contains vegetable seed. The ceral grain (pref. wheat bran) and vegetable seeds (pref. peanuts) are ground. The enzymes are derived from Bacillus subtilis, B. cereus or B. licheniformis, they are used in powder form. Fermentation is carried out at a constant temp. of 40 deg.C for at least 10 hrs., with pH maintained at 3.5-6.5 by adding a carboxylic acid (pref. citric acid). The fermented prod. is stabilised by adding at least one carboxylic acid esp. a mixt. of citric, propionic, lactic and adipic acids. The process esp. comprises (a) mixing 1 pt. (wt.) of powdered B. subtilis enzymes with 100 pts. water at 38-42 deg.C for at least 8 hrs., (b) adding citric acid, then 100 pts. wheat bran and 100 pts. ground peanuts and finally 400 pts. water at 38-42 deg.C, (c) fermenting for 12 hrs., and (d) stabilising the prod. by adding 2 pts. each of adipic, citric and lactic acids and 3 pts. propionic acid. USE/ADVANTAGE - The prepn. enzymatically degrades ingested feed, making it soluble and assimilable to improve digestion and feed assimilation.
