The machine has a rotatable support (3) on which a cylinder (C) to be cleaned may be positioned. A cleaning liquid may be projected against the surface of the cylinder as it is rotated about its longitudinal axis (XT), using a series of nozzles (4).The nozzles are oriented so as to spray at an angle with a line running between the axis of the cylinder and the axis of the jet. A second series of nozzles (9) are located within the hollow body of the cylinder, coaxial with the cylinder. The flow rate of the jets from the nozzles is regulated by a control system.
