PURPOSE: To inexpensively provide the waste mud of stone washing byproduced in a stone crushing factory as civil engineering and construction materials, such as artificial sand, by mixing a cement system as a solidifying material and emulsions of an asphalt system, resin system and rubber system as additives, respectively with the above-mentioned waste mud, then granulating the mixture. ;CONSTITUTION: While the waste mud of stone washing discharged from a raw material silo 1 is transported by transporting devices 12 to 14, the cement is added as the solidifying material thereto from the cement silo 2. This mixture is delivered to a granulating machine 6. The mixture is granulated in this machine while the mixture is mixed under the supply of the additives which are the emulsions of the asphalt system, the resin system and the rubber system supplied from an additive tank 4 through a lightweight pump 5. The resulted granules are taken out through a quantitative feeding device 7 and thereafter, the powders of the cement system and the resin system are sprayed as auxiliary materials to the surfaces of the granules from a power additive spraying device 8 to increase the surface intensity, following which the granules are successively passed through a sizing, drying and curing device 9 and a classifying device 10, by which the products 19, such as artificial sand of desired sizes, are obtd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
