PURPOSE:To selectively dissipate-treat only aimed waste-nuclides by allowing chemically treated radioactive wastes to initiate compound nucleus resonance reactions in the thermal neutron field of a nuclear reaction vessel. CONSTITUTION:In a nuclear reaction vessel 3, a thermal neutron field is formed by thermal neutrons emitted from a reactor core 1 to store implanted accelerating nucleuses in a magnetic field. Radioactive nuclides obtained by chemically treating a high-level waste-liquid are introduced in the ion source part of an accelerator 9 to be heated-vaporized, and sent to an acceleration part after ionization by electron beams. Further, the radioactive nuclides are accelerated to have specified energy, and introduced from a introduction tube 10 into a nuclear reaction vessel 3 to be spirally moved in the thermal neutron field and to efficiently react with thermal neutrons to initiate compound nucleus resonance reaction. After conversion into stable or short-life nuclides, the radioactive nuclides are discharged from a discharge tube 11. Aimed nuclides in the radioactive waste can thus be selectively dissipated-treated.
