PURPOSE: To facilitate dressing up or one deceased for funeral and to enable the deceased to be attired in a full set of formal KIMONO (traditional Japanese costume), which used to be difficult to perform in the past. ;CONSTITUTION: A full set of formal KIMONO, in which the deceased is attired, comprises a HADAJYUBAN 1 (equivalent to an undershirt), NAGAJYUBAN 2 (long underwear), NAGAGI (long robe extending up to the ankles), HAKAMA 5 (divided skirt as men's formal wear), HAORI (half-coat), a scarf, UCHIKAKE (long overgarment as women's formal wear), WATABOUSHI (veil of floss silk for women) etc. In the case of HADAJYUBAN 1 comprising a right-hand part and a left-hand part, the front sections are formed in the same fashion as that for an ordinary KIMONO but the middle part of the rear sections are omitted with remaining side parts being foldable along the fold line. A wide sleeve section on both sides comprises a front piece and rear side piece; the latter covers part of shoulder and are foldable for easy fitting, the edge of the sleeve section and the area along the edge of the front sections are provided with Hook and Loop fastener; on the surface thereof for the left-hand side and on the under surface for the right-hand side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
