PURPOSE:To provide a thinner vanity mirror which includes a mirror, a lighting part, and a cover which opens and closes the front of the mirror and to allow a lamp in the lighting part to light up by opening and closing of the cover. CONSTITUTION:A slider 37 which includes a sliding groove 38 and can be moved vertically is joined to a cover 17 through a link 39 so that the slider 37 can be moved vertically by opening and closing of the cover 17. Sliding pins 47 protruding from the sides of a lens 41 is fitted in diagonal sliding grooves in the slider 37 so that the sliding pins 47 can slide. When the slider 37 is moved, the position of the sliding grooves in which the sliding pins 47 are fitted is changed and when the cover 17 is opened when a lamp lights up, the lens 41 protrudes forward to go away from the lamp 32. When the cover 17 is closed when the lamp goes out, lens 41 is withdrawn so that a vanity mirror becomes thinner.
