PURPOSE:To transmit a pulse signal in two directions by using a unidirectional semiconductor switch without increasing the size of the switch by superimposing an offset current on the pulse signal so as to make a positive pulse larger than a negative pulse. CONSTITUTION:When the pulse signal consisting of the combination of the positive pulse with a forward direction to the semiconductor switch 4 and the negative pulse with a backward direction is transmitted by using the semiconductor switch 4 which shows conductivity modulation at an on-state, the offset current Ios is superimposed on the pulse signal so as to make the positive pulse larger than the negative pulse. Therefore, the offset current Ios makes a peak value at a positive pulse side larger than that at a negative pulse side when passing the semiconductor switch 4, thereby, which makes a reverse recovery period and a reverse recovery current larger than pulse width and the peak value. In such a way, it is possible to transmit the pulse signal in two directions by the unidirectional semiconductor switch without generating waveform distortion.
