PURPOSE: To make efficient mass production of granules having a uniform shape and size and high quality by producing the dome-shaped die having dies holes of nearly the same shape and size by subjecting a circular plate of a small thickness to a chemical etching method and press drawing. ;CONSTITUTION: The circular plate 1 of the small thickness is segmented to a small circle in the central part and an annular part on the outer side thereof. Circular holes 3 for the die holes which turn to nearly the same size as the size of the die holes 2 and elliptic holes 3a long in a circumferential direction are provided by the chemical etching method on the respective circumferences of the respective concentrical circle groups formed in the two segmented regions. Such circular plate 3 is formed to the dome shape by press drawing. Consequently, the die holes over the entire part of the surface have nearly the same size and shape. Drilling is inexpensive and the die having high strength is inexpensively obtd.
