PURPOSE: To obtain the subject plasmid exhibiting resistance to many heavy metal ions and useful for treatment of waste water, etc., of mines by integrating mercury-resistant gene, etc., containing promotor site of the genus Thiobacillus into Escherichia coli. ;CONSTITUTION: This plasmid contains an origin of replication of a plasmid of the genus Thiobacillus and an origin of replication of Escherichia coli vector plasmid and further contains a promotor site of the genus Thiobacillus and the plasmid integrates a mercury-resistant gene derived from Thiobacillus genom DNA therein.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
