PURPOSE: To provide a A-site substituted brown millerite type compound which can be applied to a variety of electronic materials including cells and gas sensors because it has a large number of oxygen defects and enables to obtain a solid electrolyte utilizing the actions of the defects. ;CONSTITUTION: The compound is a brown millerite type which is represented by the formula: A₂B₂O₅ where A comprises a trivalent metal and a monovalent metal and has divalence on the average; B is a metal having less than 1 angstrom ionic radius and trivalence.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
