PURPOSE: To provide a producing method of a high toughness amorphous alloy strip having thick and wide size and remarkably excellent property to bending breakage strain in the mechanical properties and the strip produced by this method. ;CONSTITUTION: Cooling rate on the free surface of the strip from 500°C to 200°C is made to be at least ≥103°C/sec and the temp. of the strip at the time of detaching from a cooling base plate is made to be ≤200°C. By this method, in the case of being 55μm to ≤100μm strip thickness and ≥20mm strip width, the high toughness Fe base amorphous alloy strip satisfying εf0.1 the bending breakage strain εf in a state with the free surface of the strip of rapid cooling as it is outside wherein, εf=t/(D-t), t: the strip thickness, D: bending diameter at the time of breaking can be produced. Further, in the case of being 55μm to ≤70μm, the strip thickness εf=1 is satisfied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
