PURPOSE: To provide a method for cutting the shell of an egg, capable of cutting the shell into halves by cutting only the shell without crushing the shell. ;CONSTITUTION: The method for automatically cutting the shell of an egg comprises nipping both the ends of the egg 7 between mutually faced suckers 8, 8, rotating the egg 7 on the common central line (c) of the suckers 8, 8, bringing the central part of the rotated egg 7 into contact with guides 14, 14 disposed on both the sides of a rotation blade 10 orthogonal to the central line (c), and simultaneously cutting the shell of the egg 7 with the outer edge of the rotation blade 10 from the outside in the state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
