PURPOSE: To obtain a new retrovirus vector useful for thoroughly transducing an exogenote into a human cell system and expressing the exogenote therein. ;CONSTITUTION: The recombinant retrovirus vector has (a) a DNA sequence in a reverse transcript of an RNA sequence containing a 5'-LTR region and at least a part of a gag region in a baboon endogenous virus, (b) a DNA sequence of an exogenote and (c) a DNA sequence in a reverse transcript of an RNA sequence containing a 3'-LTR region in the baboon endogenous virus from the 5'-side. This recombinant retrovirus vector is obtained by cleaving (a) the 5'-LTR region and at least the part of the gag region and (c) the 3'-LTR region with a suitable restriction enzyme from the DNA sequence of the reverse transcript of the RNA sequence in the baboon endogenous virus and inserting the exogenote between the DNA sequences (a) and (c).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
