PURPOSE: To provide a dehydrating agent and a dehydration method that can prevent samples from being cracked in the production of histopathological samples of spheroid constructed with cultured mammalian cells. ;CONSTITUTION: This is a dehydrating agent for preparation of histopathological samples of spheroid containing salts lower than the physiological concentration. The salt is preferably sodium salt and potassium salt. This invention also relates to the dehydration method for preparation of histopathological samples including the dehydration of spheroid by using the dehydrating agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
