PURPOSE: To rapidly and efficiently reduce Fe3+ ion and/or Cr6+ ion in an electroplating solution while stably keeping balnance in the plating solution at the time of continuously producing an electroplated steel sheet with a continuous electroplating device. ;CONSTITUTION: Fe3+ ion and/or Cr6+ ion are reduced to Fe2+ ion and/or Cr3+ by supplying respectively gaseous hydrogen to the side of a gas permeable layer of a double structured film composed of a water-repellent gas permeable layer and a hydrophilic reaction layer and the electroplating solution containing Fe3+ ion and/or Cr6+ ion to a racting layer side to convert gaseous hydrogen to hydrogen ion in the former reaction layer of the double layer structured film and to reduce the Fe3+ ion end/or Cr6+ ion in the electroplating solution to in the latter reacting layer to Fe2+ ion and/or Cr3+ ion, respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
