摘要

Introduction The water-gas shift (WGS) reaction (CO + H2O → H2 + CO2) is a key step in the generation of clean hydrogen for a number of processes, including ammonia synthesis, fuel-cell power generation. Many groups showed that Au/Fe2O3 was very active for low-temperature water-gas shift reaction. This paper presents a novel approach for preparing Au/FeOx catalysts by tuning the Fe2+/Fe3+ ratio in precursor solution. The structural properties and redox behaviors were correlated with the catalytic performance for the WGS reaction.
