METHOD FOR SEPARATING INSULIN SECRETING CELL FROM PANCREAS

PURPOSE: To provide a method for efficiently separating an insulin secreting cell from a pancreas of mature mammals without impairing function of the cell. ;CONSTITUTION: Fine pieces of pancreas of mature mammals are rotated and stirred or shaken in a buffer solution not containing an enzyme a container equipped with a filter for filtering at least one time to remove a suspension liquid. Then the fine pieces left on the filter are rotated and stirred or shaken in a buffer solution not containing an enzyme in a container provided with a filter. The prepared cell suspension is centrifuged to give a cell, which is cleaned in a buffer solution not containing an enzyme to provide a method for separating an insulin secreting cell.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
