FILM TYPE ICEMAKER AND ICE STORAGE SYSTEM USING THE SAME ICEMAKER

PURPOSE: To realize an icemaker which can separate ice from an icemaker to continuously make ice and to provide an ice storage system in which the heat accumulator space is reduced by accumulating cold heat by means of the separated ice. ;CONSTITUTION: The film type icemaker comprises a hydrophobic porous film (or plate) 11 having many fine holes and being in contact with water 21 on one surface side, a vapor phase chamber 14 having at least part formed of the other surface of the film 11, and exhaust means for reducing pressure in the chamber 14 and exhausting steam, wherein ice is made on one side of the film 11 by the operation of the exhaust means. The chamber 14 is disposed lower than the water level of the water 14 in contact with the one side of the film 11, and the pressure in the chamber 14 is enhanced from a reduced pressure state thereby to easily separate and float ice 22 in close contact with the film 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
