Rapid method for the identification of S. aureus, diagnostic kit for performing such method, monoclonal antibodies against the glucosaminidase of S. aureus and hybridoma for the production of such antibodies

Method for the rapid identification of S. aureus in which the material under analysis together with a substrate is contacted with a MaB directed against the SaG of S. aureus which has been produced by a hybridoma having the characteristics of the DSM... cell line and which has the characteristics of an IgG1; before or after this stage the MaB is coupled with a marker capable of revealing any binding between MaB and the material under analysis, for example through use of the Elisa Technique in which the material under analysis after being contacted with the MaB is contacted with an specific antibody against the MaB used, conjugated with an enzyme and a substrate for the enzyme. The diagnostic kit includes the MaB, a solid substrate (e.g. nitrocellulose) and possibly the anti-MaB antibody conjugated with an enzyme and the substrate.
