ADHESIVE ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION WHICH CAN BE CURED TO FORM AN ELASTOMER

Organopolysiloxane compositions which can be curedto form elastomers and contain:(a) An organopolysiloxane containing Si-bondedvinyl groups;(b) an organopolysiloxane containing Si-bondedhydrogen;(c) a platinum catalyst which promotes the addi-tion of Si-bonded hydrogen to vinylgroups;(d) an inhibitor which delays the additionreaction of Si-bonded hydrogen with vinylgroups at room temperature, with the provisothat inhibitors containing a hydroperoxyradical are excluded; and(e) an organic peroxide, with the proviso thatacyl peroxides are excluded;are used as adhesives.These adhesives are used to bond similar or dissim-ilar organopolysiloxane elastomers to each other and to bondorganopolysiloxane elastomers to optionally primed sub-strates.
