A method of manufacturing an electrically conductive element is described. The method comprises the steps of: a) providing a digital representation of at least a working portion of the conductive element, b) forming a three-dimensional solid replica (10) of the at least working portion of the element from, or based on, the digital representation, and c) applying a layer (20) of electrically conductive material to at least a part of the replica.
