The invention relates to a device for shaping a laser beam, especially in laser-beam surface machining, with at least one static beam-shaping mirror (1) and at least one rotary mirror (2), in which use need not be made of the static beam-shaping mirror in certain conditions and for certain purposes, whereby the perpendicular to the beam deflecting surface of the rotary mirror (2) is tipped through a given angle to the axis of rotation and the beam-deflecting surface of the rotary mirror is not structured. The invention also relates to a process in which this device is used, and to a possible utilization of this device and process.
