In the case of pre-stressed pre-stressed pre-stressed components with post-tensioning, for example prestressed concrete sleepers, cracks in the concrete often occur under loads that not only do not close when relieved, but also widen with increasing number of load cycles. A series of tests on sleepers have shown that the cause of this damage is an inadequate bond between the tension bars and the precast concrete. This association depends on three factors, each of which, individually and in combination, determine the quality of the association effect. These three components are: the bond between prestressing rod and grout, the quality and strength of the grout, the bond between grout and concrete.
