INTEGRATED CIRCUIT COMPUTING DEVICE COMPRISING DYNAMICALLY CONFIGURABLE GATE ARRAY HAVING A RECONFIGURABLE EXECUTION MEANS

An integrated circuit computing device (10) consists of a programmable gate array curcuit by the user and dynamically configurable (FPGA) (12). These gate array (12) are configured to establish a RISC processor (reduced instruction to fire) (14) and a runtime reconfigurable instruction member (16). FPGA (12) which can be dynamically reconfigured, the executing reconfigurable instruction (16) can be changed dynamically to implement complex operations in machine rather than in software programs taking time. This feature allows the computing device (10) to operate at speeds above the conventional pendant for reduced instruction set (RICS) or complex instruction set (CISC). Moreover, the programmability of the computing device (10) makes it very flexible and ideal for treating a variety of complex applications.
