Device for remote stud welding using a remotely controllable welding gun and a welding apparatus. According to the invention, the device includes electrical masses (60) mounted on the welding gun (40) so as to simplify the remote-control operations. These electrical masses are disposed on either side of the stud (47) to be welded and are spring-mounted so as to permit a better contact with the surface onto which the said stud is to be welded. The device also comprises a trigger pedal (42) connected to the welding apparatus (32), this pedal permitting remote actuation of the welding gun.
