GATE CURL OF QUAD TYPE PACKAGE AND TIE BAR STRUCTURE OF LEAD FRAME

The structure is for preventing the bend of a gate curl(7) when cutting the package by the punch. A gate part(4) of an IC package(10) includes Y type cavity(2) and tie bars(1,1') of the gate bar are separated to both end parts of the IC package. The structure of the gate bars is formed by two stages and cutting holes(3,3') are formed in the gate curl(7) so that the cutting process is performed easily. The cutting shape of the punch is also formed by two stages.
