The present invention relates to a process for producing a green phosphor of the present invention and a fluorescent lamp using the same, and in the process for producing the green phosphor of the present invention, an alkali metal pyrophosphate MxP2O7 nH2O (M is at least one element of Li, Na, and K, n = 0) is used as a part of a solvent.;According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a fluorescent material having a uniform particle shape and a much narrower particle size distribution by increasing the luminance of emitted light by 4 to 5% as compared with the conventional fluorescent material, thereby contributing greatly to the improvement of the characteristics of the fluorescent lamp.
