The present invention relates to a process for preparing a green phosphor of perylenediamine phosphate and a fluorescent lamp using the same. According to the present invention, there is provided a process for producing green phosphoryl perchlorate phosphate, comprising the steps of reacting boric acid and an alkali metal phosphate M_xPO₄(M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Li, K and Na) as a part of the flux. According to the present invention, there is also provided a method of adding at least one of an alkali metal phosphate or an alkali metal pyrophosphate in addition to the above-mentioned flux.;According to the present invention, the luminous intensity is increased by 3 to 6% as compared with the conventional one, the phosphor having a uniform particle shape and a much narrower particle size distribution can be obtained, which contributes greatly to the improvement of the characteristics of the fluorescent lamp.
