FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method of semicontinuous pressing of the consumable electrode includes filling the blend in portions in the cone matrix, their thickening and pushing the thickened portion through the matrix. The first portion of the blend is thickened at the pressure equal to 30-70% of the maximum pressing pressure. Beginning with the second portion the pressing pressure is increased by 3-20% and the pushing through is exercised by the height equal to 1.1-2.0 of that of the thickened portion. The last portion is thickened at the maximum pressure and is pushed through by the height equal to 1.5-3.5 of that of the thickened portion. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 tbl
